Exceptional Care on the journey of Motherhood
Jessie Rhoads is a Birth and Postpartum Doula, Placenta Specialist, Lactation Educator & Counselor, and Student Midwife. After the birth of her first daughter, she felt an internal pull towards being a Doula and walking alongside women during their journey into parenthood. She was captivated by a profession that empowers mothers to find their own voice and make informed decisions during childbirth. She believes that prenatal education, a supportive team and knowing your options are the building blocks to a positive birth experience. Jessie’s training and education includes extensive breast feeding support, baby wearing education, birth planning, comfort measures for labor, placenta encapsulation, using herbs and oils during the childbearing year, as well as many others in her midwifery education and training. To date, Jessie has attended over 300 births and has caught over 20 babies as a student midwife.
Jessie is a mom of two lovely daughters. She had a peaceful home water birth of her second baby surrounded by so much love. She is currently on the path to have a more active role in supporting women’s brith choices and is enrolled in Midwifery school. On days off, she adores spending time chasing her barefoot kiddos, volunteering at her daughters school, dancing to live music, traveling, family dinners around the table, connecting to mother nature outside, and absorbing all things natural living, birth, and the creation of community, support, and empowerment of women from all walks of life.
